The first thing I did when I got my keys to my house last spring was to paint my bedroom a beautiful pale pink. It’s feminine and soft and feels sunny without being bright yellow. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of work—let’s just say that I’ve learned more about roofing and ductwork than I ever thought I would!
But with some of that hard work behind me, it’s time to finish off my bedroom. You all know how I feel about creating a beautiful and restful sleep space. My room is *almost* done, but the empty space above my headboard has been nagging me.
On a whim, I recently ordered three gold LOMVIKEN frames from IKEA (not an affiliate link but a product I really love—I have a bunch of poster-sized ones throughout my house). Now I need to fill them.
I’ve had great success ordering downloadable prints from Etsy (usually $10 or less) and then sending the file to my local Staples for printing. Since I don’t like things too matchy-matchy, I plan to order three different prints that will play nicely together on the same wall. Here are the top contenders:
I’m loving this adorable cowgirl boot art print with its pop of pink. While I don’t typically go for western charm, something about this girly pink aesthetic is giving slightly coastal vibes. Giddy up!
Choose your lane
I’m loving the minimalist vibes of this one. All those pretty women in their pretty swimsuits! This one has an underlying message for me: do your own thing, at your own speed, and stay in your lane.
Smart, sassy, and spotty
So cheeky. So confident. This leopard is giving me all the feels and I think she deserves a place of pride in my room. As a bonus, you can swap out different coloured-glasses! Find her here.
A dose of Irish courage
This line of poetry gained renewed recognition during the the pandemic, but I like its timeless message for any season. There are several versions of this quote, but this one is my fav. (Available as mailed print or digital download.)
This one might be the simplest of all my picks but I love the light touch and infusion of greenery it brings to a room. No matter how many cute prints I snap up, I always love at least one nature piece in each room to ground things.
What do you guys think? Would you hang one of these beauties in your sleeping space?
(Oh, and in case you’re interested, here are the other downloadable prints I already have on display in my home: this teacup one, this abstract “blueberry” one that has about a zillion Pinterest likes, and this quirky Matisse.)
